A 19th c. hanging candle shelf in original salmon colored paint with original varnish finish. 
Constructed from pine wood, the backboard is elaborately shaped with symmetrical cutouts and supports a T shaped shelf. Joining consists of small early iron nails.
Retains a dry, undisturbed paint surface exhibiting bright color and signs of historical use.
