19th c. Cutlery Tray (SOLD)
A 19th c. cutlery tray in original vibrant blue paint.
Constructed from poplar wood, utilized for its strength and availability. The body consists of a low profile and slender design with a canted design and pierced hand grab in the form of a heart. An applied bottom is joined following suit with early iron nail attachment.
Paint surface qualities are extremely ideal. Thick vibrant paint has been applied with a coarse brush producing brush strokes. Surface history is strong with light patina.
Remains in excellent as-descended condition with light wear considering its original intended use. Has a wonderful, soft appearance. A perfect fitment amongst high quality country treen of its kind.
