19th c. Dresser Box
An exquisite 19th c. dresser box in original light brown colored paint.
Constructed of pine wood in its entirety. The body is joined at its sides with very finely cut dovetails. A wonderfully shaped bracket base with large cyma recta cutouts adorns and elevates its body and is attached via iron nail joining.
A compartmentalized interior shows pine wood dividers for combs and accessories such as jewelry. Two dividers feature cupids bow cutouts echoing its bracketed exterior, making access to combs convenient.
