19th c. Finial
A large 19th c. wooden architectural finial.in original as-descended surface.
Constructed from a large body of pine wood and turned on a lathe. The creator produced a striking form with an acorn shaped body completed with a large crown and robust footed base.
Remains in an overall very good state of condition given its campaigns through years of weathering with a few scattere chips to its base being consistent with age and use. Surface characteristics are exceptional with perfect coloring.
