19th c. Split Column Mirror
A 19th c split column mirror in original varnished finish.
Constructed of a maple wood frame and joined with small early iron brads. Each corner is ornamented with walnut blocks and a stamped brass star. Split baluster columns with bulbous turnings accentuate the front frame and are constructed of quality birdseye maple. Housed in frame is the original looking glass and reverse glass painting featuring double galleons. The original two board pine back is present.
Retains superb surface characteristics to its varnish finish and remains in superlative condition.
