19th c. Tiger Maple Masher
A 19th c. food masher comprised of a single body of lathe turned figured maple wood.
Tightly turned with a mushroom shaped handle and ball and spool medial shaft turnings above a heavy figured base. Retains a fabulous mellow surface with oxidized color and strong figuring. A best of kind.
New England origin. Ca. 1830. 11 1/2"T.
