A 20th c. wooden advertising sign in original paints.
Constructed entirely of pine wood from a single plank. Applied molding work, thick in gauge and formed with a spline surmounts the plank and is attached with small iron nails. "Antiques" is hand painted and shadowed in lighter grey paint for three dimensional effect.
Remains in a well preseved, as-descended state of condition given its age and time spent facing the sun and elements. Surface qualities are exceptionally ideal with craquelure and crazing.
Produced and utilized during an exciting era of discovery for the antique business. An excellent centerpiece for collectors of virtually any genre of antiquity and somewhat scarce to find in this condition and content.
