Barber Sign (SOLD)

An early 20th c. wooden barber sign in original paints.

Constructed from a single plank of thick pine wood and crudely formed into a two dimensional shape while making the stripes more lifelike by adding three dimensional was grooves and painted black. Its top is painted a light shade of blue and exhibits circular kerf marks.

Remains in overall excellent as-descended condition with a beautiful paint surface showing quality patina and environmental elements.
