Early Butter Churn
An early 19th c. standing butter churn in original red paint over a red primer.
Constructed in a staved manner of pine wood with a tapered body design and secured with ash wood interlocking bands. An iron band with a peened over rivet secures the upper portion of staving.
Retains quality as-descended paint with historic signs of use being consistent with age. Overall good condition retaining the original lid and dasher.
New England origin. Ca. 1800-1825. 18"T x 10"W, 34"OAH.
