Early Snake Shot

An early leather snake shot in original condition.

Comprised of a thick walled leather body compartmentalized into two segments for holding large amounts of lead shot and powder. Two iron spouts with chamfered edges are inserted into the body and stitched in place.

Likely manufactured by a gun maker. Remains in a superb state of original condition with its leather body still pliable. Superb historic elements are present with rich color. New England origin. Ca. 1790-1840. 24"L.
