Early Wooden Whistle
An early wooden whistle carved from a single body of pine wood.
A hollowed interior is formed via two tubular augered holes recessed completely through the body. Two chamfered holes near the mouthpiece have been whittled by hand forming two different pitched notes when utilized.
Maintains superior color with historic surface elements present for the collector who appreciates naturally aging wood.
New England. Ca. 1780-1840. 5"L.
