Late 19th c. Diminutive Shelf (SOLD)
A late 19th c. hanging shelf in original oyster white paint.
Constructed of pine wood and joined with small wire iron nails. The body is profiled with an almost square shaped enclosure with interior columnar supports. A small bar below the enclosure contains five small iron nails set at a 45 degree angle for hanging articles.
Retains a fabulous painted surface with craquelure and thinning paint in worn areas. A charming size at 15"T x 9 3/4"W x 3 7/8"D.
